Let me introduce to a app which will come very handy In case your phone goes missing. Through this app you can do a list of things such as Ring your missing phone, Erase your data on your phone or set a screen note on your Phone that the phone is stolen & most importanly locate the phone. 

The app is called Find my device  To download the app Click here or visit Google play Store on your Android phone.

Here at The Clarifist We will show you how to set up the app and use this when in need.

Before using the app you need to first setup the app. For that follow the below instructions.

1. Click open the app and you will see page like this.

Here the app will automatically identifies the Google Account signed to your Androud Device. The option to sign as Guest will be explained later at this article.

2. In the app you will see  three options as shown in the screenshot below. These options can be used at particular situations as explained below.

As you can see that when you log in using your Gmail Id. If the phone is in your hanf it will automatically show based on the current location.

The options available are.

Play Sound :-  This option is very useful when you forgot where you placed the phone. Just take another android phone sign in as guest and click Play Sound.

Secure device :- This option is secures your phone and lock it incase if your phone is stolen. Just login as Guest from another Android Phone and Click Secure Phone.

Erase Device :- This option Erase everything from your phone. If your stolen phone contains private data. This option will become handy. 

One thing to be noted is that the missing / stolen phone must be connected to the network for this option to work. Cause the app has to first locate the phone first..
